April 11, 1943 – April 6, 2022
Roger Lynel Tallerico, died at home on April 6, 2022, with his devoted companion Pepper comforting him.
He was born April 11, 1943 in Price, Utah to Kathleen Fairis Nay and John Jack Tallerico.
Roger lived a simple, humble life, enjoying the outdoors nearly every day of his life. He was kind to everyone he met and entertained many people with his adventurous stories. He looked forward to his hunting and fishing trips, and when he could no longer hike through the woods with his dogs walking beside him, he made daily trips to the local grocery stores and his brothers’ homes for short visits.
One of Roger’s true stories he loved re-telling was when he caught the state record smallmouth bass years ago. Every home cooked meal he ate “was the best he ever did eat.”
Roger was a talented welder, working for Joy Manufacturing until he retired. He created several statues and ornaments he welded from miscellaneous supplies.
He will be remembered for his kindness and tall tales, enjoying his many camping trips with his brothers, children, nephews and friends. He will be remembered throughout the community driving his white Jeep Sport with his dog, Pepper, riding next to him in the front seat. Roger leaves family and friends with many fond memories.
Survived by his three children, Roger D. Tallerico, Diane Hugie and Sherry Bland; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, John R. (Leslie) Tallerico, Roland (Becky) Tallerico and Roy Tallerico.
Preceded in death by his parents, John J. Tallerico and Kathleen Fairis Nay Tallerico.
