Hello Everyone!
In effort to meet the underserved community – DeafBlind, we met with a couple of DeafBlind to consult with them on how to make the Sanderson Center a safer space for them. They gave us great ideas and feedback.
So, I started adding bright yellow tapes over the stairs for the low vision community to be able to see where to step. See attached video.
Small solution and huge benefit! There is still a lot of work to do! 🙂
Some of them mentioned that it benefits not only DeafBlind but many of us in different ways. I can see why because I was able to step down the stairs safely without tripping. Let’s keep making great things happen, especially the decreasing case of COVID.
