Robert Kerr, Chairman

He graduated from Seattle Community College in 1979 with a certificate in Computer Information System.  He graduated from Gallaudet University in 1984 with BA degree in Economics. He worked with various jobs as computer clerks and at Naval base departments and private companies. He has been here since 1995.  He currently works part-time in the mail room at Newspaper Agency Corporation in Salt Lake City. He is a chairman of U.O.D. and Vice President of NFSD of SLC. He enjoys going camping, skiing and biking. He enjoys visiting his children and grand children.

Ron Nelson, President

Ron Nelson moved to Logan at the age of 9 and graduated from Logan High School and is working as a software engineer for NXi Communications. He was past secretary-treasurer and current vice-president of the Northwest Athletic Association of the Deaf and plays basketball and softball. He lives in Salt Lake City with wife, Kristi.

Clay Crye, Vice-President

Clay Crye grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and attended New Mexico School for the Deaf (NMSD). He moved to Utah December 1988 and attended Utah State University and Utah Valley State College.  He runs his computer network and repair business at home on the side while being a full-time "Mr. Mom" with 3 kids. He lives in Lehi with wife, Caralee.

Valerie G. Kinney, Secretary

Valerie Kinney grew up in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and is an American citizen.  She graduated from Gallaudet in 1966 with a BA in English and is working as administrative assistant to the board of USADSF (USA Deaf Sports Federation). She does much computer work at the ofice. She has held UAD board membership off and on through the years, including vice president and secretary. She was past editor of the UAD Bulletin and is current co-editor of the Utah TTY Directory. Mother of two grown and married children, she lives in Ogden and enjoys her three grandchildren.

Peter M. Green, Treasurer

Pete Green of SLC left USD in 1952 and married Sally the following year. He feels blessed to have three wonderful sons and nine grandchildren. He retired after many years at Bureau of Land Management as Land Status Technical and found he loves his retirement. He works on UAD finances and also volunteers at the UAD Bookstore. He goes fishing with Sally when the weather permits. They are planning trips to many places in the coming months.

Dennis R. Platt, Board Member

Dennis Platt grew up in Illinois and graduated from Gallaudet in 1966, and has lived in Ogden ever since. He has been much involved in many organizations of the deaf over the years. He retired after nearly 30 years from Weber County Government as computer programmer. Presently, he has been busy doing genealogy research, being a super mom to his grandchildren, Justin and Deliliah, and lives with wife, Shirley.

Wayne Stoltz, Board Member

Wayne Stoltz was born in Idaho and graduated from USD in 1962. He uses his time as a super mom and a super jack of all trades. He is very much involved with Golden Spike Athletic Association of the Deaf. He lives with wife, Evelyn, and twin daughter and son.
