My History in Partners in Policy-Making

From September 2001 to May 2002, I attended the positive-overwhelming training that is hosted by Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities in Utah (GCPD). The mission in this state-of-the-art training was advocate for public policy that would affect all people in the state of Utah who have disabilities. “Partners in Policy-Making” was designed to educate and empower its participants to achieve system change at the local, state, and federal levels. The curriculum by Utah’s Partners in Policy-making training covered a great mass of advocacy. From leaders in the field, partners learn histories, philosophies, and concrete strategies for creating systemic change in disability areas.

The Spin-off of Partners in Policy-Making is........… The Leadership Academy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing!
