Here’s
your chance to nominate an outstanding
individual for the Golden Hand Award! This
award has been awarded to more than a dozen
individuals or organizations benefiting deaf
people since its inception in 1979.
Rules:
-
Any
individual or organization that has made
a substantial contribution to the
betterment of the Utah deaf community
may be nominated.
-
Individuals
must not have received pay for the
volunteer work. Organizations must not
have paid individuals to do volunteer
work.
-
Programs
under the auspices of an agency with a
paid staff may be nominated, but the
extent of salaried activities must be
clearly indicated on the nomination
statement.
-
Volunteer
activities must have been performed
within the state of Utah.
-
Screening
committee members may not submit
nominations.
-
Individuals
and groups may submit as many separate
nominations as desired.
Deadline:
All nominations must be in the hands of the
Golden Hand Award chairman, Rob Kerr,
by March 31, 2011 to be considered.
